Experience
Growing up in Sydney, many would assume I lacked any awareness or any care of life and people outside the city. Both parents came from agricultural backgrounds and are still attached to the agricultural industry today, I have been privileged to visit my extended family, farming outside of Wellington every holiday. Additionally, my interest in agriculture opened opportunities to work and learn the processes of the industry from farm, packaging, transportation, store shelf to the family home. The experienced gained on farm through labour really enhanced my perspective of two different lifestyles, the bustling city life and the battling farmer lifestyle. I learned to appreciate Australias underrated industry and community that accounts for over half of Australias land use, contributing roughly 150 billion to the economy.
